Last night was full of fun, friends and fireworks. We ate some great food, shared some tasty beverages while catching up and laughing with friends from different circles. It’s always fun when we get the chance to bring friends from two different circles together or be brought together by others. I’m always amazed at how interesting and amusing people are when you slow down and get to know them. That’s the great thing about holidays and time off from work. We get time to slow down.
But, today it’s back to the grind for most of us. Does that mean the joy and friendship we felt yesyrtday simply disintegrates with the clock. Not for me. I’m holding in as long as I can. It’s easier knowing I have friends out there who didn’t go back to work today. Some just took the rest of the week off. Some are rounding out their summer vacation at the beach. One is just starting a long anticipated mother daughter trip for the month. They all helped me get through a day of long flights and some just plain rude people. Thank you. It’s hard to not confine the holiday feeling to the single day we celebrate I don’t think that’s the right approach though so I’m carrying it forward as long as I can and I’m ecstatic for the friends who actually extended the time
