Today’s short post is about mindfulness. Mindfulness is a state of active and open attention on the present. When you’re mindful, you observe your thoughts and feelings from a distance, without judging them good or bad. Instead of letting your life pass you by, mindfulness means living in the moment and awakening to experience.
Being mindful also means not allowing future expectations or past experiences interfere with your happiness. While we do advocate making plans for the future – we also want to stress the importance of living in the here and now. Time is a finite commodity for all of us and mindfulness is the way to get the most out of every minute.
I’d like to share some videos about mindfulness that can explain the concept much better than me. This is a habit that I’m working on – and so far, it’s really helped me focus.
